Public Safety Deputy
Matt is the Public Safety Deputy for Council District 12. He serves as the primary liaison for constituents with the LAPD, LAFD, Department of Building & Safety (LADBS), Parking Enforcement, Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR), and Film LA. Matt is also a volunteer LAPD Devonshire PALS board member.
Matt graduated from Whittier College with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology where he was a member of the NCAA Division III Whittier Men’s Lacrosse team and later had the honor of participating in the Lacrosse World Games as a member of the Mexico men’s lacrosse team. In his free time, Matt shares his love for sports by coaching youth lacrosse and maintains an active lifestyle through hiking, backpacking, and camping.
