Field Deputy
Jieun serves as a Field Deputy for the Twelfth District. In addition to assisting CD12 stakeholders with navigating and resolving city-related issues, she also serves as a point of contact and resource for the Asian American and Pacific Islander community and local ethnic media outlets. As a constituent advocate, Jieun works with government agencies, local non-profits organizations, businesses, and neighborhood groups. She also manages outreach programs on issues related to immigration.
Jieun was born and raised in South Korea. She graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Journalism and Chinese. Jieun came to the United States in 2010 and worked as a journalist for Korean media outlets, including KBS America. In her spare time, Jieun enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and discovering new places in Los Angeles. Her favorite role of all is being a proud mother to her daughter.
